I was curious as to what some of ya'll with 383/402/408 and N2O were running. I have done quite a few searches and it would seem that most of the info that I find is related to dyno numbers which I am not all that interested in. So if you have one of the above and would like to post up please do so. Please include your 1/8th and 1/4 mile times and speed as well as how much N20 and the type of tranny and rear gearing. In short -
Displacement (383,402 or 408) =
1/8th mile time and speed =
1/4 mile time and speed =
How much N20 =
Plate, nozzle or direct port =
Cam, heads and compression =
Tranny type (Convertor size and type if applicable) =
Rear gearing & tire size =
Anything else you may feel important. Thank you in advance and I hope this will help those that may search for this info in the future.

my 402 acouple years ago 3600 pound are, 28" tire, power glide with 3:73's 1 stage 200 went 9.3 300 or 350, i forget now went 9.0 at 147 forget 1/8
timmys car with 383, 2 stages 400 total went 8.9 153 i think, with 200 it runs 9.3-9.4 all the time, he is about 3200 pounds, same gear/tire

I have a thread going right now and am posting in another with regards to calculating actual nitrous volume used. One guys "200 shot" may make 200 at the wheels because he is running the jets at 900 psi while another guys "200 shot" could be putting closer to 300 to the wheels because they are running it at 1300 psi. So it makes discussions like these kinda useless without including the pressure that said kit is running at.
Take me for instance. I was spraying a "400 shot" thru a -4 line (does not support over 300hp shot) at 1000 psi and ran a 9.52 @ 142 with a race weight of about 3700 lbs. This adds up to useless information for you as I really wasnt getting 400 to the tires.

from all my reading...higher shots will yield slightly less than their rating but within reason.
i would not want my 200 jets to spray a 300 shot. if i want a 300 shot, i'll put in 300 jets. a 200 shot giving almost 300hp is crazy given that both are rated at the wheels or both are rated at the engine.

OK Gents, I would like to get this back on track. There are many factors besides bottle pressure and line volume that determine the amount of N2O used. How do I know this; more than 20 years of playing with N2O but I don't want to turn this into that type of discussion. What I want is posted above, that is all. Thank you for posting up but lets get this back on track or just close it up. Thanks again.

the other cams i was using to test i wasnt make 300 with the same tune ups. i was making in the 260 range. my ESP N2O cam worked real well in my 346. picked up big power and droped about 2-3 tenths
my car hasnt seen a dyno with the new motor. with my 346 back in the day the car made just a hair under 400 rwhp with a "300" shot 1050 botle press it made 703. this was once i found the right cam and tune up.
