I had a simular problem with leak down and the timing ping only while spraying and then started doing it on all hard accelerations even without the spray and come to find out the leak down was burning just enough oil for the pressure sensor to notice and retarded the timing, I added more oil and it stopped pinging. That might be the same thing thats going on with your if not it's like everyone else is saying check the compression and if it's greater than 200psi than run higher octane.

Thanks for the great opinions guys. I think it may be 2 seperate issues though. Obviously a 30% leakage in the number 7 cylinder is terrible. I agree that a higher octane or timing issue is needed to fix the nitrous ping but that doesnt fix the ring lands
