gainesville raceway wednesday, quick help please ok i hvae a 2001 silverado 5.3 150 shot tuned and all that good stuff, but my buddy and i havent raced yet and he has a magna charger but with just a superchips tune not a dyno tune, what could i do to ensure i beat him, could i run 118 octane fuel to help my off the line or what, i have no cats so would leaded fuel hurt my motor at all, help would be greatly appreciated
leaded fuel will hurt your O2 sensors. I would not run it. i would run 3-4 gallons of some high octane unleaded fuel to ensure your nitrous runs smoothly and safely.
Do some weight reduction. There really isn't much you can do besides that...
