Timing Tuner installation

It is definitly a PITA to get to.
I'm considering not trying to get to the factory plug behind the starter. What do you think about tracing the wires back until they are in a more reachable place and just splicing the wires from there? I figure it should work just as well.
One more thing. I'm using a MXII to control my solenoids so I don't need the TT for that. The installation instructions want me to use the nitrous relay as part of the wiring. Can't I just use a 12v source and ground it via the MXII switch?
See if you can get one of your buddies to drop the starter and plug it in.I wired my TT to work off of the 12v source, and it worked great (once you decifer the instrctions
.) I have since run a lean cut off switch and have yet to spray, but the solenoids are locking in fine. What kind of lean cut off did you use? I put in an FJO and monitor it via the MXII.

I use my tuner to pull timing, as well as limit min and max spray rpms. The unit has seemed to work very well so far.

Any tips would you learn would be helpful.. Wait, your high on pain pills... LOL

I pulled the starter yesterday and jacked the cable in. I found that I did not have to disconnect the starter cables. I just pulled the starter and let it rest on my chest as I plugged the cable in. Then I put the starter back. HAVE EYE PROTECTION when you do it. Lots of dust falls out when you pull the starter.
I don't plan to put the TT in the engine bay. I'm going to run the cable back to my stickshift boot. It's easy to push the cable (after extending it) threw the boot and then use the center console to conceal the cable as you run it under the dash just behind the A/C controls. I'll leave just enough slack so I can drop it out on the passenger side to make adjustments.
This is the same way I installed all my electronics for the NXL/MXII kits. It leaves everything hidden and clean. I'll let you know how it turns out.
You should do the wire mod, its pretty easy and cleans up the passenger side alot.
Whos direct port is that?? Looks pretty damn nice.

FYI, I live in San Antonio / South Texas for 29 years. I had my Trans Am there for ~2 years (only been in Minnesota for ~4 years) and I never had the AC belt hooked up.
The car is not a DD so I guess thats why, I can remember though sweating my *** of in the seats driving it home from work a few times back when I was in Texas.
Up here, we only get above 90* a few times a year. The lakes are still all forzen and can still be driven on. But, I would not suggest it though.

Ya, a couple of cars back I didn't have AC. I will never do that again. I had a 20 min drive home from work in the afternoon and always looked like I just got out of the shower by the time I got there. And yes I agree, there's no need to leave your car at the bottom of a lake!
What's a NANO?
The NANO,, Its realatively new. Do a search here and see what comes up. Its pretty much a 4500 PSI bottle that attaches to the N20 bottle to get a consistent bottle pressure. I have mine sitting on the floor. Just no time to add that bad boy on.
Car is still the same as last year but prolly a little more heavier due to the cage that will be installed (got kicked off the track permanently till I got a cage). But, I do have all for Bogarts RT's now so that might make up some weight difference.
The goal is a 9.99 on a 200 shot straight out of the hole. I am wanting to do it in May cause its still nice and cold air in the mornings.
