Default Nano Users Help!!!!!!!! Jetting?

For those who have been running the Nano system, what is the pressure set to when you crank open the bottle and do you have to rejet? I have a zex kit set to 150 shot and was wondering if the Nano would produce to much pressure for the noid to open and being that the zex jetting is already set on the rich side if I would need to change the jetting at all. If so does anyone know what the jetting should be. Thanks for any and all help.

I would say try it as is.... If it does not open, it wont hurt anything but fall on its face due to being too rich.

I have my NANO, but its not on the car yet.

ya but if it does open and the pressure is way more then my usual 900-950 psi then Im going to have a major lean out and that is my concern. nano claims that you have to rejet but I really dony feel like paying to get back on the dyno to retune. I was hoping that it would be preset at 950psi but they are telling me that as soon as I open the nano bottle that the nitrous pressure is going to be at 1075 then when the noid opens it falls to 975psi. Well zex jetting is done in reference to the nitrous being at 900 psi. I was hoping that all I would have to do is put this on and go without having to get back on the dyno to rejet.

Base Jetting For Single Nozzle with NANO Universal system

HP......N.......60psi F.....38psi F
50......30.........19..........21
100.....42........27...........30
150.....49........33...........37

With the NANO system you will flow more nitrous through the same jet so to maintain the same HP level you must reduce the size of the nitrous jet.

As with any jet chart this is a starting point and A/F ratio should be verified.

So Ray... I am getting ready to install my nano sometime soon now that the snow is almost gone.

Im not sure what the numbers are on the jets but I have the recommended size for a 100 shot in right now and last time at the track it was ~12.3 on the wideband.
Instead of going down on the N20 jet, can I go up on the fuel side?

yes....you can either down size the nitrous jet or increase the fuel jet

The kit I have is only up to a 200 shot. Do you guys have the next fuel jet size for a 200 shot of N20? Or, is the fuel side maxed out on a 200?

Our plate will flow 400+ on each side.

The jets are offered in .001 increments from .014-.052 and from blanks to .136.

Thanks ray for the jetting chart but will this work for the zex kit? I know that the zex runs rich as hell with there jetting so do you think that I could get away without changing a thing? A better question would be have you ever used the nano with a zex kit? I know this sounds stupid but whats the fuel pressure set to on my 97 vette? Thanks.

It should give you a good starting point.

LSx's run 55-60psi

base jetting on our LS1 plate and a 200 shot is 78n/46f...the next jet up is a .047, the .048, .049 etc.

with the NANO I would go up to a .048 and then tune up/down from there.

I have the 90mm plate, is it the same jetting I suppose?

I have never looked at any of the other jetting size in the little bag they come in, I just threw in what the 100 shot says on the paper.

I did not know they just go up .046, 47, 48, etc... lol

1 question , 150 shot is rated at the pressure the system runs on right. so say your system should run at 1050psi , a 150 shot is a true 150 shot at 1050psi.. Right ?? Nano keeps your bottle at the proper pressure the whole race, right. I dont see why you have to retune ?? unless its a bad tune to start.

I have a wideband in the car... I plan on just spraying what I have in (what ever jets are recommended) and see what it says and go from there.. If a little lean, ill go up on the fuel side.

I was told by nano that when I turn on the hpa bottle that my, in cabin nitrous gauge, should be reading around 1075psi and once the noids open it will drop down to, what they say the regulator is preset at there factory, which should be 975 psi and it should hold there for the complete run. They told me that I would have to jet down on the nitrous jet by 20% or go up on the fuel side 20% either way because there kit will be making 20% more h.p., because of the pressure. Im not so sure that is accurate because my zex kit is rated for 900psi and I find it hard to believe that bumping the pressure to 950-975 is going to produce another 20% h.p. Is there any way to turn down the "preset" pressure from 975 to lets say 900-925psi. Please Nano users chime in and let me know what you guys think.

The reason it makes "20%" more power is the fact the jet is flowing pure liquid nitrous. When you use a bottle heater you are "boiling" the liquid to increase pressure in the bottle. This creates gas bubbles in the liquid. The NANO introduces pressure above the liquid which keeps the liquid compressed into the bottom of the bottle. THis is why car see an increase in HP when using the NANO without rejetting the kit.

so do I have to rejet with the zex kit or will it run fine being that its rich now or will my 150 jetting turn into a 200 shot if I dont change anything? If so I dont think that my stock engine & trans will like that big of a hit. Thanks again for all your help.
