With All Tuneing Softwares You Have Custom Operating Systems That Allow For Greater Functionality.... Cos 5 Is Your Best Ticket For A Killer N20 Setup.. Hell I Almost Sold My Whole Hpt Setup And My N20 Kit Once I Realised It Could Be Done With Cos 5....

All you need for COS 5 is a PCM pin and wire (a switch if you want one), and COS5 (free w/ EFI Live).

Here is a link to a PCM pin source

http://www.eficonnection.com/eficonnection/100w.aspx

First time around if your doing it yourself it may take ya longer than a day to setup correctly, there are quite a few lil issues that may slow the progress.

Remember Beer, i want you to help me with my EFI tuning write up, or if ya like do it all your self and I will just host it on my site and give author status to the EFI Live COS 5 Master, aka Beer.
I do have some info I have been saving, however, with no hands on experiance with EFI, it would be better for someone like your self to present the info.

I will do one Robert, just need some time, gotta be home for one then some nice days for photo's etc...Got alot of plans for photo's and how too's

Once you know the stumbling blocks for COS 5 it goes quickly...its all that WTF time that is wasted waiting on PM's to be replied to etc thats really frustrating...

Guys like Doc and Euro, and minitrkr were a big help, when I was setting mine up.

LOL I am finding being Capt of a Drilling rig fixing to cross the Indian Ocean has alot in common with Nitrous...

I am asking myself quite a bit..."I wonder if I have enough fuel?"

Does COS 5 have any inherent safety features, like Interface? I.E. situational Nitrous shutdown , etc..

That is a really good point to make. I forgot about the safety angle of the Interface, just one more thing to put it in a class of it's own. wait till you guys see the Dual Stage Interface coming, mucho more goodies added.

My tuner is recommending a progressive controller, do you guys think this is necessary for a 100 shot max?

No not for a 100 shot, or at least not really? Anyway, I like the multi stage better, less wear and tear on the noids. Hell, one ¼ mile run progressing can equal a full season of multi stage runs (on/off on/off on/off), and it's just one more thing to worry about. Safety is job one for most of us, as we can not afford the cost of breakage. Though it's your call, as the progressive controllers can work to limit the on set of TQ and mostly help with traction. You will find that the vast majority of serious users run the multi stage.
