Default bottle heater affecting fuel press. guage

hi guys ,when i turn my bottle heater on my electric fuel pressure guage jumps around.both are grounded and fused seprately.my lights do dim some when i put the heater on.could it be getting a surge,battery going badyour help is appreciated.thanks

The heater can pull quite a bit of juice. Mine has had problems with voltage drop upon heater activation because of weak, and then bad battery. Likely your battery is low and requiring some amperage to recharge and/or to help run system, meaning your alternator is working harder than it should, and when this happens you can see things like you describe. Check your battery out as well as the charging system, after you recheck all grounds and wiring. Good luck, those wiring gremlins can be a pain in the azz, but at least we have a starting point.

thanks robert,i kinda suspected the battery.one day i put the heater on without the car running and around 8 minutes later the battery was dead.also the car was down for 1 1/2 weeks getting the throttle body ported by new era.when i went to start it ,it was dead.the interstate i have is 5 years old.guess i was lucky to get 5 years out of it.thanks again.
