Default dont guess anyone can answer my question

i have a question, has anyone here after doing free mods and changing to one step cold plugs for n2o had a problem with a slight dip or slight cut out at an idle at random, my car is a stock 98 a4 with free mods and n2o but this seem to happen to it when done the egr free mod and maybe the smoothing my my maf, but i dont have a dtc or check enigine light and was wondering if this is just a normal thing casue had a buddies car do the same thing and never found anything wrong with it, just currious, and also for a fuel pump for n2o what do you guys recomend, i was a stang dude and now have ls1 do they make a in tank 255 pump like the fords, remeber i am new to ls1's and the returnless fuel sys, my theory on the dip is when it get to op temps and the egr works that with the egr being cut cause a lil flux in idle am i wrong or right, let me know thanks, also is there a free scan i can use to prob the pcm on this car i dont like having to use the snap on each time i look and also i was going to get ls1 edit but what do you use for a data logger? thanks

Yep, I had that problem. Pulled out IAC motor and cleaned it off cause the first few times it was really bad, but since it has had a slightest of dip or "miss" but its not a miss.

The best thing to use to actually "see" what your car is doing is the A-tap. No idea where you are from but surely some one in your area has one you can borrow. A lot of people (to include myself) have gotten rid of the egr (in fact I believe it was in 2001) that they no longer even put one it the cars. IMO it isn't your EGR that is hurting your idle. Double check that everything is pluged in right after your TB "smoothing".

The "stumbing" could be running rich or lean. You'll never know without the A-tap.

As for the fuel pump, you have a 98 so they have a plug and play, drop in RaceTronix ( here's a link to Thunder Racing http://www.thunderracing.com/index.c...ategoryid=1080 )

k but i didnt smooth the tb it was the maf and i am a tech for ford and know rich or lean and i moitored with a snap on scan too unit i get a tap or buy ls1 edit aswell and yes i know ls1 edit will not show pcm pids live, but i dint not have this prob untill i free modded the egr and maf and yes if you completely get rid of egr and use ls1 edit im sure it will not effect the engine, but you could be right , and the other guys iac thats good to was going to do that next glad i am on the right path lol, ill keep ya informed, only reason i ask theses question cause i have seen more than one car do it and want to know why.thanks
