I will be doing a HSW wet kit, P series gauge with safety devices (already have a gaugepod and lc-1 wired up), purge kit, racetronix fuel kit, tr-6s (spark plugs don't take me long), and all the other misc goodies.

I am wondering how many days to set aside to do this, (not counting tuning).

If you do a clean job ,it will take you a few days. To hide all the wiring and mounting solenoids and relays and running the lines and hooking up all the switches. and mounting the bottle

I think i should do fuel pump, spark plugs, bottle mounting stuff, etc. one day and then do the rest of stuff and electronics another day. Would it be reasonable to assume i could get it done in a couple days?

took me about 2 solid long days to do mine start to finish. But i need to clean up my wires under the hood and relocate my solenoids. But it works for now!

you could do it really quickly but it prolly wont look very good or might not even work...

for a good quality job 2 days is a good time taking your time ofcourse and not hurrying....

i still need to clean up my wiring and relays locations

it took me about 2 hours to run the lines mount everything ect, about 3 hours to wire stuff in and then another hour to wire loom and make everything pretty. so look for about a solid 6hours, of course with breaks and bullshitting with a few friends

If your putting the fuel pump in the tank, That will take about 4 to 6 hours its self.If you have a lot of knowledge about cars.Its a pain in the *** its self.. But if you putting in a inline fuel pump about 2 hours.

I put my dads nos fogger system on his car in one day but it took me a fe days to tune the car

How much will the tb plate throw off my idle and tuning? being that it relocates the tb?

When I first fired mine up with the plate, the car idled to the moon and was super lean, didn't run worth a crap...............

............then I realized I didn't hook my brake booster hose back up....


My car ran exactly the same with the plate. Helluva lot faster once nitrous started flowing through it though.

I worked on my system for a LONG time, but it came out perfect. I have a lot of stuff though (FJO progressive, plate kit, purge, ashtray switch, lean shutdown switch, bottle heater, and I installed a whole new fuel system). If you take your time and take some pride in it, it will be all worth it in the end. If you rush through it and throw it together, you won't be so happy and people will be less than impressed.

Have a plan, and don't rush.

Time spent is a function of how clean and detailed you want the install to be.

I would estimate at least 2 (8) hour days for the first time installer on a quality well thought out install; this would include solder and shrink wrap over just using crimp connections, pulling the seats and uphostery/consoles for routing/hiding wires etc...

I think i spent about 15-20 hours with my kit. I did a wet kit with a heater,purge,bottle pressure gauge, dual window switch, beer switch panel and FPSS.

Like Beer said, Have a plan on how you want to attack the install and take your time. I think you will take at least 15-20 hours on your install because you have to do a pump

Plan on 2-3 days if you have all the parts, find out where the best parts place is b4 you start, it is verry helpful to be able to just go grab a 45 or 90 fitting
