Default Options for cheap remote bottle open?

I think that remote bottle openers are excessively priced and cant figure out why such a simple product is so much. Has anyone rigged up a diy setup? It seems to bea simple motor that mounts to the bottle. I could be wrong but maybe have something like a motor with stops or have some type of clutch material so it slips after the bottle opens.

If you mount your bottle in the spare tire compartment, you can use a light bulb remover that will reach up to the side of your passenger seat... then just reach over, twist, and voila' you're a cheapass with a ghetto setup! Lol, seriously though, look out for one used, they regularly go for 100-150 used on here.

I got a brand new one on ebay for $120 shipped! (minus the swicth to operate, which I didn't need as I have an ashtry switch) Just check the calssifieds in all of the sections and you're bound to stumble on something.

I've been using Cold Fusion bottle openers I got off Evil Bay at a reasonable cost and they work great.

Its a window motor that screws in place of the round handle. then fab up a mount that can slip around the base of the neck so the motor doesn’t spin in circles. or use a ball valve as above. split the line and mount the valve by the drivers seat.

it's a spal power window motor on top. about a $30 part. straight up valve openers like the zex would be easy to rig but not really worth it. nx has the new design that works for all types of valves. i have one and the design is great.

i have a zex opener for sale. $90 shipped. works fine. i have a new switch from an nx kit or i can give you a used bmw power window switch(which i also use in my car). you'll need power and ground wires.

My buddy uses a nitrous solenoid to open his bottle in his 5o. It has been working great for him for a few years now.
