Jesus, dry sump, vacum pump, canted valve heads, 430ci, I assume 2 DP stages on it as well.

Sounds like you should probably be over 600 with all the timing pulled, and I assume you'll hit it with a good 2 stages of at least 200 a piece.

Get the car into the low 1.3 60 foot range, and it's gonna go into the 7's, at a good 170mph if I were a betting man

Tuff, where can i find this hood, or the guy/shop that does the work. I was wondering if a Vette hood could be set up similar, as the hoods for Vettes are much more limited and none as radical. I can't find joe van o?

joe van overton, Stenod is a dealer for them. They're out of canada, expensive, and hard to get, but worth the wait.

I'm gonna order one this august, figuring I'll see it around chrstmas time

Your on the right track but were running a progressve controller so i can roll in the nitrous.I can only run a single DP kit in the class im in.We did the math and 170-175 should be the mph that we run also looking to run a stronger 60ft time.I would like to see some mid 1.2x 60ft times. This motor has the best of the ls world so im going to be the ginna on this setup for nitrous.I feel it will run some strong numbers but time will tell.

A single progressive, got ya. Probably to get the car to leave on a radial I assume.

Do that right and you probably can pull the timing, roll that in with the progressive and hit it with 500 if you get it right.

I can see the car running sub 1.25 60 foot's if you get it just right, hell that should be able to do 1.3 on motor I'd think you've got to be able to make 700 at the tires or close to it with an n/a tune in it.

Good luck man, I think with everything you've built there that you will be the first and probably only 7 second nitrous lsx car out there.

The motor is going on a engine dyno in about a week in a half. When it was setup for horsepower (cam and a bit more compression) it made 920hp on nuts.So now that we setup the motor for nitrous we figure were going to loose about 30 to 50 hp but car will be very happy on the bottle. We have a 8.20 cap in the class we run here local. So we figure we should be able to do that with a 36jet in the DP.We will tune it up towards the the end of the season to see what it really has.

920 n/a, that's serious. **** I'd like to someday get there on the jug LOL

It's gonna be a serious piece of hardware, that should be capable of an 8 second pass n/a I'd think, so to get to 8.20 won't be much of a problem I wouldn't think.

36 jet isn't that big really for something that's gonna be progressed in.

Are you going with a carb or sticking with the EFI. When I saw you're going with a 4500 flanged intake, I can only assume there's gonna be a dominator on top of this beast.

Exactly what I wan to try next year, dominator with a speedtech 2 stage plate. I'm just hoping that ET comes out with that intake like the one you had, even if it only has a 4150 flange on it I can get my fab guy to convert that over it's not a problem.

Next time you talk to Cary, see if he has any word on that single plane they were working on, I'm hoping it's something I can call and order that is available port matched to the ET 240's I'm already running, be even better if it was available with a 4500 flange, but I can live with the 4150. No need for the EFI bungs in the intake either, I change the intake, I'm going to a carb.

I've had a few people ask when the intake is coming out so ill have to ask him next time i talk to him.I do know he is done doing spec work off my 4150 flange intake and i have to pick it up from him when i pick up the motor.I am staying with efi for now and we do have a 4500 throttle body going on top of that with 96 lbs injectors. As for the 4500 flange intake that intake is serious tall and will take some big time notching of the cowl area.BTW this is there protype intake that i will be running 4500 flange.

The cowl won't be a problem, I"m gonna order a joe van o hood this august, figuring it will get to me about christmas time, and I"m gonna cut the whole cowl off right to the windshield, so that's not a problem.

My fab guy said what he can do, is take a 4150 flanged intake, mill it out mill the bottom off the 4500 flange and tig in a 4500 flange in so it won't be any higher, and we can just port it/smooth it out so that it sits down at the same level that the 4150 does. So basicially, that intake you have there, it will look like that but without the piece between the intake and the flange, the flange will sit down flat on the intake. That piece between the flange and the intake, is where my soeedtech plate will sit

God that first pic you posted, I can already see that intake with a dominator sitting sideways on top of it

I can't wait, next season will be a learning curve for sure, but it will be alot of fun, and should have some good results. Noone's really done a full race carb setup yet, I'm sure I won't be the first, but it will be fun to have, people won't know what the hell I have under the hood, with a distributor on the front and a carb it's gonna get called a SBF probably a million times before anyone realizes what it is LOL.

That piece in between is also there for plenum volume and thus a higher RPM range for peak numbers. I choose a 1¼" Wilson spacer/burst panel for mine. Actually that's a great tuning tool, base height or plenum volume. I wanted to get my peak numbers closer to my shift points (rpm drop) with the 6-speed.
