Set up
Forged 347ci (11.2cr)
ABS heads
3.97 x .045 cometic gasket
Trex
LS6 intake/ported TB
1st stage 100 fogger
2nd stage 200 direct port
(1+2=300
)
NA on 91 it like 28* of timing with a autolite 605 (430rwhp through an 80E). Obviously I need to back that up some and put a cooler plug in it.
I got one decent 1st stage bottle pass with it last time at the track but I think I pushed a gasket slightly as there was water in the engine bay coming from around the radiator cap. I also found a little rust on the #7 plug a couple days later. This pass consisted of:
New AL 104's gapped at .045
22* timing
5ga of 110 octane added to the 5-7ga of 91.
Jets I ran for this in the 100 were .047 N20 / .028 fuel with 1,050 bottle psi.
Now I don't think the gaskets totaly sealed from day 1 as I always had a little moisture (steam) from the valve cover breather no matter how warm or how long the motor ran. Compression test came back pretty darn good. I just think once warm, the presurized radiator is pushing a little water in to the cyl. After the track you can feel it miss bellow 25% TPS. Once I'm in it more than 25% TPS, the miss goes away. I think there is enough cyl pressure to keep the water out at that point.
I figure I should probably error on the safe side and for every 50hp take 1 1/2* timing out.
1st stage 25*
2nd 22*
Both 19*
Any suggestions / comments?
