Hide bottle or not?
lol this thread is great............but there is a old saying and it goes like this "IF YOU AINT CHEATING YOU AINT WINNING" now with that being said i would show a bottle and have one hidden with the one for show never being filled
The pick up tub in the bottle is pointed down 180* from the valve, so when putting the bottle side ways youll need to turn it about 45* so under wot the nitrous will slosh to the side of the bottle were the pickup tub is, Ive done this for years and never had any probems,
And for racing on the street ,I beleave that showing what you got is the best way to keep peaple from saying that i was cheating because i was running nitrous (run what you brung) If i show it then they can deside if they want to run me. The bottles just show i have nitrous but under under the hood ,I just cant hide it if i wanted to. And i might show it But trust me its not a show car !!!!!!

if your bottle is empty and the heater is left on, the bottle can get really hot and start melting stuff. other than that, i guess it depends on what heater you're using. my 860 bottle heater element was directly under the bottle, so nothing was touching it.
IMHO looking ahead if you are invested in keeping the bottle for an extended period of time GOD FORBID there is a mishap and you get rearended somewhere (not your fault) and the police arrive and find the bottles. Say goodbye to your $$ and speed in exchange for vanity (which i myself am guilty of). Or maybe your car is parked and a ***** cop having a bad day walks past your car in a parkling lot, or anywhere else for that matter and decides to be a *****...say goodbye once again. My point is, the majority of the reason to "have" the bottle it for 'go'.....SECONDARY 'show' right? I would rather always have the bottle to play, with a tiny bit of remorse for the non-look, than be regretful and knowing I could possible still have it if i was a littel more humble. I'm not preaching, or at least trying not to, I would just hate to see such a fun peice of equipment taken away.

here in arkansas you can have it in the car but the line can not be hooked up to the bottel the bad thing is most cops just assume its aginst the law and you end up having to go to court anyway to prove them wrong as i did

Im in the same boat of whether I should put it in the spare tire compartment area or just put it between the seats. Id like to do the spare tire compartment for the stealthy clean look however since I wont probably have a automatic bottle opener it might be a pain in the *** to have it in the spare tire area but I guess I can open it if im just cruiseing around. Oh and also if I ever get a flat tire because I do drive the car quite a bit and sometimes sees 150miles on friday nights to a big carshow id be scared to get a flat so chances are my bottle will go between the seats

No point hiding it; only reason to hide it would be for Fri - Sat late night fund rasing and it would only be a matter of time until people found out anyway (there are only so many ways to hide the acitivation switch).
