Default Nitrous Plate Bellows Problem LS1

What are most people using for the bellows between the air box and the TB? It seems my factory one is pushing my SLP lid off a lot. it si worth getting a smooth bellows I installed a Harris Speedsorks plate system and that extra .5 inch is causing some problem.

Your comments are greatly appreciated.

I just installed a HSW plate kit and had the same problem. I bought the SLP smooth bellows and trimmed it on both sides and now it fits perfect.

I bought a silicon hose from intakehoses.com or somewhere similar, in a shorter length. The stock bellows I had been using were too long with the plate. I imagine you could trim the SLP and it would work fine. An FYI though, the silicon hoses are usually cheaper than the SLP. But another FYI, I would avoid them if you don't have poly motor mounts, as the motor torques over quite a bit on the stock mounts, and the silicon hoses don't have much give so you may crack a lid.

With my set-up, with my MTI lid (I'am sure either lids doesn't make a difference) and stock ported TB along with my Nitro Dave's 78mm plate; with the stock below it pushed the below so its smooth all the way through if you will into the intake. Like the ridges aren't going to prevent air flow(Creating tubulence). The below is fully compressed. Its a bit of a tight fit but not too tight.

Hope this helps

With Dave's plate I tried to trim the SLP Bellow I had but the SLP one would not fit too well for me. So then I just trimmed the stock one and now it fits fine.
