Default C-5 Bottle/NANO Photo's (updated for May08)

Finished the bottle end of the Car, fabricated hatch covers utilizing the factory latches (kept the factory hatch covers intact) that allow pass through of the blow down tube, as well as cover the AMP for my new head unit (pulled the CD changer out and upgraded to a IPOD compatible head unit).

Been testing the new wiring as well so far everything works. Also add the Mirrored trunk insert (Xmas Present from the Mrs.)

This bottle is the Dynotune 10 Pound, I swapped out the bottle valve for an NX degree valve I need to clear the floor, I used the Bottle sticker supplied w/ the NANO kit.

The NANO Bottle brackets are the ones supplied w/ the kit, I had the Dynotune Billet Nitrous Bottle bracket drilled and tapped to mount the NANO to it.

Have to do some detailing of the engine compartment and will post those up later, as well I need to put the passenger interior back together.

Jim

I like it. Didn't you have a dual bottle setup before?

Have you had the chance to use it yet? I picked up 3 tenths in the 8th mile on an 88* day with 91 Air Density and 98% humidity. Most everyone was down 3-4 tenths. I thought this was an excellent investment.

Not yet, I need a Tune session (hopefully this weekend) and then I will track it, although being a vert w/ no cage, I am told I will be booted pretty quick.

Looks good Beer, as does all your work. The one thing i would do if it were my set-up: move the gauge to the top if you can. Looks as though the blow off is on top, could it just be swapped out for the gauge on the side? That's why I like the NOS bottles, even though no black bottles, as they have the gauge on top where we can see them looking in the back glass.

Are you going to do any dyno pulls with the recommended jetting for your kit with the heater and then compare it to a nano pull with the same jetting to see if it actually picks up power. It would be nice to see if we really need to change the jetting by 20% or if it will be fine with the stock jetting. Please keep us posted. Thanks.

Yes, supposedly the jetting is is about 20% less for the same power for Wet only. Dry, I think there will be an increase in power same jets. The trouble with what I am doing is I will be tuning at the same time. I will probably do Heater only first, tune hoping for 125 Dry, see how that goes then put the wet on top. Once I have the Heater tune done swap to NANO.

I am back from Houston had to go for a day, so today is detailing the car, and ensuring the logging stuff works with the new wiring, and I may do some spray logs (street) today, to make sure my 2 hour drive to the dyno is not wasted (discovering something aint working at the dyno...)
