Default How to test kit while parked?

Is there any good way to test my wet kit is actually firing my solenoids? I cant feel my 75 shot and want to verify everything is ok.

I am thinking about disabling my tps sensor, and revving at like 3grand steady then arming it to see if it revs. Is this a good way to do it? or is it dangerous?

Any other options?

if u don't have a heater, u will be running rich due to the less pressure of the nitrous and the same amount of fuel for the jets. i noticed this as well. i could definanly see the speedo moving alot faster but couldnt feel the kick much. i've always been told to test the system with the bottle closed or unhooked with the car off. arm the system, bottle still closed, and hit the WOT switch. u should hear each sillinoid click. if u can't tell one from the other, use a screw driver as a stethascope. put pointy end on it and handle to ur ear. u get the idea.

I'd say you wanna be careful just spraying while revving... I'd be worried about fuel puddling in the intake. are you using a plate kit? nozzle? I'd say if its nozzle either take the nozzle out and put it into a bucket so you're not spraying fuel everywhere and reach over rev the throttle up to WOT briefly to get it into the RPM zone and activate the tps and see if it sprays into the bucket. But I dunno, I'm a newb too when it comes to nitrous.

IF its a wet kit What you can do is turn the bottle off then hit the "window and it will bog the motor if its spraying.

I like to substitute air for nitrous. Also, I use a taped open WOT SW, and pill style WS. The pill style you can just put a wire in place of the pill and it will spray instantly, then you'll hear the air coming out the noid. But you have a TPS and probably a different WS, but he point is, if we think about a system we can usually find a way around it. You could do the air for the n2o side, and a bucket for the fuel side? Just hearing them click doesn't always tell the whole story. good luck

Off topic: Shiz, do you have any info on your ported Mamo Vic Jr? Any before after numbers? I was just thinking about him doing a Vic Jr and well, mine needs some help, lol. I have tried adding a spacer for plenum volume tuning, but think I need to get runner size increased, though am no expert on fluid dynamics. you can pm me if ya like. Back on topic.

I do somewere. but the general numbers were like 15 cfm more threw each runner on the intake. but the real gain was it bolted onto my ported heads vs a stock vc jr was like 8-24 cfm on a prety steady incline from 300-650

Here is what I do to test. I take the lines off of the nozzles and put the fuels lines (with the jets and jet fittings on the ends) in an empy bottle. I tape off my nozzels (so no vaccum leaks). I point the nitrous lines out from the car (and myself) and set my window switch to 1500-2000. Then I tape down my WOT switch. I start the car and from the engine bay I open the throttle and watch the RPMs on my digital window switch. The nitrous spray will be obvious and you look in the bottle for fuel.

Take the nozzle out, spray it away from your face (or anybody elses' lol) and rev the vehicle with the kit armed....should spray a nice plume of NO2, then turn the bottle off, and do it again, just to make sure the fuel is working as well.
