408 nitrous
I think i will sell my sts kit and just run nitrous, I'm going with a 408 stroker, think the nitrous will be alot easier for me and i think I can make as much power, I wanna go with tfs heads and fast 90/90 and prob 175-200 shot, should I make more power than the turbo? Its the tsp forged 408, havn't decided on a cam yet though.

A properly setup N2O 408 will make more than 700 rwhp. If the short-bock was designed for a turbo then you may need to change the pistons.

ok, then your options are still relatively open. if you wanna build a N2O 408, you can expect 700-800 rwhp depending on how agressive you go and what size shot you use. A high compression 408 should net you a minimum of 500-550 rwhp depending on cam/head selection. a 200-300 shot will net you 700-850 rwhp. Remember, that the 700 rwhp car will be mild and a great street car. the 850 rwhp car will be a track only car, that will require a constant maintence. Will this outperfrom an sts turbo car? maybe... It is not a simple yes/no question. However, it is cheaper and if done correctly more reliable than the turbo setup. You won't run 8s, but is that really your goal? Probably not if you were considering the budget "sts" turbo build. Good luck, and have fun.

iron 408 with L92 is cheap and fast; +-3700$ forged 408LQ9 shortblock,1000$ for fully assembled L92 heads, stock L76 intake/rockers for cheap too and a SMALL cam!! should net you a good 500rwhp and 500rwtq with good exhaust. A LOT cheaper than a AFR/FAST 90 setup and as much good. I'm no expert, but this is what I read lately..
