Default LT1 Guys...

So, after being in the LS1 world a while, I am back in time to LT1 power... My main question is how do most LT1 guys handle the spray / motor tune? I know most LS1 guys run a timing twister or something similar so they can run motor sometimes, and spray others.... Do they make timing twisters for LT1s or whats the most popular method?...

The LT1 can use any SBC style ignition box with built in timing retard.....the digital 6 and the Mallory 685 are 2 very popular models.

What is your plan for the car? Size shot, motor specs, etc?

Right now the motor is just a bolt on motor...stock inch (Mods in sig). I plan to just throw some gears in her and spray it for some fun. I intend to run the biggest shot I can on stock pump/injectors...until I can put a bigger pump in. All this motor is getting is bolt ons/ spray and maybe a cam until its time to pull her out for rebuild.

for ease of install and the fact it includes alot of features for a basic system. I would suggest the Mallory 685.

http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...roduct_id=3200

This includes: an ignition upgrade, spark based rev limiter, 2 step, timing retard and window switch.

I use the FAST XFI..... standalone deal so might not be what you're looking for.....

I could do it with my digital 7 but the XFI does it automatically once I arm the nitrous switch...... For a 150-200 hit you could easily pull 6-8 degrees of timing with digital 6's or similar boxes...

As you can see an ignition box is what youll need.

I run an MSD digi 6.
