Default thicker oil for N20?

Currently I run Mobil 5w-30 in my 99 Corvette. However, next week i'll be installing a 150wet shot on my car. It was suggested that I run a thicker oil because of the nitrous, like maybe Mobil 0w-40 or 15w-50.

Opinions?

Default Re: thicker oil for N20?

One question, why? You'll still be turning the same RPMs (or less if you set your shift points correctly.) I'd stay with the 5w-30. A 10w would also be fine but will theorectically cost you a tiny bit of HP and fuel efficiency (not that you could ever prove something so miniscule.)

BTW, 0w-40 is thinner than 5w-30. The first number is the weight of the oil.
