Default Be Aware Of The Timing Tuner

To the consumers who are considering the purchase of the Timing Tuner from Full Throttle Speed need to be aware. I purchased a Timing Tuner from Harris Speed Works and have had nothing but problems. Since Harris Speed Works does not manufacture this product, if there is something wrong with it they are unable to take it back for anything other than a refund. My issue is not with Harris Speed Works; my problem is with the manufacturer (Full Throttle Speed). So after finding out every time I plugged the Timing Tuner in the car would not start. I wiggled all of the wires and did what Full Throttle Speed told me to do. After doing all of this, they told me to send them the product at my cost, which was no problem. I sent the product out on 7/2/08 I called them on 7/7/08 and they stated that they had received the Timing Tuner and that it would be 7-10 days while they figured out what was wrong with it. So I ASSUMED they were being honest with me, which was not the case. I recently received the Timing Tuner back in the mail and it was RETURNED TO SENDER, the postal service tried to deliver it three times and it was never received, and meanwhile it was insured and required a signature. So the post office was leaving sticky notes on Full Throttle’s door. This, to me, is unacceptable because I have had a nitrous system for 2 months that I have been waiting to spray. It is frustrating and needs to be addressed. I talked to Full Throttle Speed and they said that they could not speak for who told me that they had received it but that all I could do was send it back to them and hope they would receive it. Meanwhile this is getting to be an expensive part…………..CONSUMER BE AWARE of this situation and if you have to buy this product at least buy it from Harris Speed Works because they have been honorable and are sending a Fed-ex driver to my door tomorrow to pick up the product, to send it back to Full Throttle Speed.

I can't say that I purchased the same item, but I did buy a BETA version of their LS1 scanmaster from a member that did not turn on in my car. I sent it in to them, took them about three weeks to get it back but they repaired for free (didn't have to, it was never suppose to be released to the public) and even picked up the return shipping too.

I ahve used the timming tricker. Worked well for us but sucks ther customer service might be lacking..... I think im gona try the lingenfelter timming tuner/2 step on a mild street car.

Having some adjustability at the track or on the street is nice if the customer can't tune or don't have the software/cable etc.

Glad to see HSW is taking care of you, they're good guys over there.

I personally run the TT and have no problems with it, except for the LEDs not working correctly, but I guess almost everyone has that problem. You must have just gotten a bad one or something. I think there's a used one in the classifieds. That's where I got mine and it works great.

yea I am not really doubting the part because I know, when it works it works well, but I am just warning people about the horrible customer service. I definatley should have bought a used one and hoped for the best, I would have been spraying 2 months ago.

Sucks to hear that man. I thought about buying one but my tuner didnt feel comfortable relying on a box to pull timing, so we just pulled it in the N/A tune and honestly the car picked up .3 in the 8th mile and 2mph...

That sucks for Harrisspeedworks...those are great guys and have great service. That other company that makes the tuner are D-Bags...and then HSW has to deal with angry people...

Well I ordered this kit on 6/6/08 and I finally called today and they have supposedly sent me the timing tuner back. So it has been almost three months for one timing tuner. Does anyone know how hard it is to have a nitrous kit installed for almost three months and not be able to use it........but hey the purge works....

Glad to hear you finally got what you paid for 3 months ago. That place that manufactures those is terrible!
