Default 400 shot - two bottles?

I am getting everything needed to turn on my second stage - a 100-150 plate kit. The direct port is a 300 shot.

I am thinking that I should set the 150 plate up with its own feed line and bottle to keep pressure higher down the track. I'm having trouble with the car getting rich down the track with just the direct port system.

What do you guys think?

I run two 10 LB bottles with two separate feed lines. I haven't got to try my second stage yet though.

y them together into a -6an feed then y back to 2 4s' at the noids....you dont want one kit with 300 shot and one with 150...id rather have both with 225 it will equal out the drop....but honestly that much nitrous you need a nano

225/225 isn't going to work for me...that's way too much through the plate.

Start at 1150. I have a 10 lb bottle.

start at 950 and you will have less drop on the other end.

What? nothing wrong with 150, 300 split. If they are Yed together than the pressure will regulate its self no matter the difference in shot size.

Lots of people spray more that that without a push system.

We were running 1/8. When we start running full tilt quarter mile we definately will drop it.

Just checked the logs. We finished the 1/8 at around 1080 or so.

Why are you running the pressure so high?

I think above 1100 there is a phase change, you should really be below 1100 to strart.
1050 max.

We were running it high because we were way too rich - in short, our tune was WAY off (but you have to start somewhere, haha)

Conrad,
Y two bottles together running one -6 main feed . Tune with a airfuel of 1000 to 1050 psi Max.. There will still be a bit of pressure drop at the top end but not near as bad.

Turn the fuel pressure down.

upping the bottle pressure doesnt do much.

We did turn the fuel pressure down. When I say our fuel was WAY off.....I mean WAY WAY off.

We are changing fuel jets and then fine tuning again.

I'm excited as hell to try both systems!

Are you running a stand alone?
High or low pressure system?

Low pressure, stand alone for the direct port. The plate gets its fuel at 60 psi from the aeromotive regulator.

I used the run the NOS style fuel setups with 6 psi pressures, now we run a higher pressure with a larger spread in the jet sizes to compensate for the extra fuel. Helps with the lean spikes we used to see at the lower fuel pressures (even after restricting the return line with a NOS fuel jet).

We are going to back down from a 24 fuel to a 22 and redyno the direct port.

I don't believe anyone was suggesting that however.

BTW, whats the secret to running such a large shot. I thought 300 was the max with 4 bolt heads.
