Question Nitro Dave's digital window switch problem

Ok, ran through the programming of the Nitro Dave's/Trick digital window switch again to make sure everything was set right. I have:
1: 004
2: 000
3: 040
4: 062
5: 040
6: 040- 2nd stage not used, figured on/off at same rpm would be fine
7: 002
8: followed directions, idle was like 004 and WOT was 045, then pressed switch 1 to save

BUT...... when I turn the system back on, the display is at 000, which would indicate that the throttle position activation switch status is OFF, and the solenoids are opening the second the system is armed. I've disconnected the wires going to the solenoids to reprogram the window switch, but everything has been saved, is correct as far as I can tell, but the throttle position activation feature is not being used (even though it is programmed to). How do I get the damn throttle position activation switch to work?? Also, on a side note, when the system is armed one of the relays is clicking? Is it supposed to do that??? The Nitrous Outlet wiring diagram for using their window switch and a Timing Tuner called for 2 relays, but they only sent me one. I went to a parts store, they weren't able to cross reference the relay from Nitro Dave's, and I used the relay that they thought would work.

Mine is the same exact way when it comes to the TPS and reading 0, but i go out and it works and the kit doesnt come on until it reaches the 045 tps which is pretty much wot... so the kit will come on whenever it gets to the saved tps signal i guess...

id like to see for peace of mind how to get that 1 on there instead of the 0

Yes, but the WOT feature of the window switch is NOT working. The second the arm switch is turned on the solenoids open.

The best instruction set for it is the one from the Trick Performance web site.

It has how to set up the TPS.

Also when the engine is idling and you hold the #1 button down does the RPM match?

Here is 700 RPM

I used the instructions that came in the box with the Trick digital window switch. I checked to make sure the tach signal was working. I finally got the time to check things on Saturday afternoon (yesterday), so no, I have not called Dave yet.

Setting #7of 002, was that grounding the input? I can't remember, maybe try to use a different source for the w.o.t. switch?

004 if you are connecting to the pcm tach wire.

step 7: 002
you are connecting to a tps signal wire. When you push to accept the read will show you what your voltage wire is seeing, moving the pedal will change this value if you are connected to the correct wire.
Normally around 3.8-4.1 volts is a good area.

once saved the box should read

0 0 0 with means all your parameters are not activated yet.
The list below shoud how the readout will display what is going on. The 2nd stage is not being used but the led will still show whats going on, so in your case the 2nd stage settings MEANs nothing in the layout below.

FIRST DIGIT = TPS
2ND DIGIT = 1 STAGE WINDOW
3RD DIGIT = 2ND STAGE WINDOW
L = GEAR LOCK OUT.

1 0 0 means your at WOT NO spray
0 1 0 means yoru in the rpm window on the first stage, NO spray
0 0 1 means your in the rpm window on the 2nd stage, NO spray
0 1 1 means your in both rpm windows, NO SPRAY

1 1 0 mean your at wot, and inside your first stage window, SPRAY
1 0 1 mean your at wot and inside your 2nd stage window, SPRAY
1 1 1 means your at wot and inside both windows, SPRAY.

hope this helps.

You need to set step 5 & 6 to 0 0 0 and that will stop your activation when the switch is turned on (or at least it should). If you don't feel like constantly reprogramming it then just set it for the actual window RPM's that you want and make sure you leave the second stage switch off. When you did your inital program, did you get the E N D message when you were completed?

Thanks for the replies guys. Got ahold of Nitro Dave's yesterday, and it seems the problem was an incorrect wiring diagram. They pointed me to the correct diagram, now I just have a little rewiring to do and everything should be good (I hope).

Wired it up with the new diagram and it finally works! Just sprayed a 50 shot the first time (for safety), but even that put a grin on my face
