Big blocks and gen I small blocks are entirely different. Most BBCs run 37-40* of timing on motor...And then pull timing from there for spray.

My small-block mustang ran 38* on motor, and 30-32* on the 150 shot.

LS1 heads are so much more efficient than traditional sbc/bbc heads, that you don't need all that timing to make power. Most h/c LS1's run ~25-27 degrees on motor.

General rule of thumb for nitrous is pull 2* for ever 50hp you spray. Meaning 6* for your 150 shot. You'll still make great power, all while keeping the tune safe.

BTW, as you increase the timing on alot of motors, they start loosing power before they knock/detonate. So you think running on the ragged edge of detonation is making the best power; but in reality your motor may be making it's best power with a few degrees less timing.

hey guys ,, u r using a Rule of thum for Nitrous Timing
so for each 50 Shot pull 2 degree
thats fine for me
but the question is
a car like mine comes with STOCK TUNE 19 degree Timing
and i used magna charger and for sure increased the fuel and even added 2 Degrees timing and it is fine for me
and i saw many cars N\A with Stock Piston and connectors ( engine )
used timing up to 28
so when you pull timing ,,
do you pull it from the 28 ? or pull it from 19 ?
and by rule of thum
if i will shoot 150 WET Nitrous
do i have to pull timing To 13 degree ?
and does this timing Method works on Direct Port Wet system ?
waiting for answer

the timing rule is only a guideline. every engine reacts differently.

Find out what timing it likes the best with no nitrous the pull 2* for every 50hp of nitrous.

It would be the same with a direct port.

Depends on how much you are spraying but I run mine around 12.0 A/F

You can run spray without a wideband as long as you glance at the plugs. Before widebands came along thats what everyone did and most racers still do.
