rev limiter sprayn'

Of course hitting the rev limiter is not great to do, but what detremental effects can happen if it is hit while spraying over hitting it NA? I am talking about traction loss,not missing a shift. Does the PCM enable any kind of recourse when the limiter is hit?

when NA it will not hurt anything but your ETs but on spray you can have serious problems. this is mainly because the PCM turns off the injectors inorder to control RPMs. in other words, dont do it on spray but dont wory about it NA.

When ur on the rev limiter the pcm cuts fuel like mentioned above which means its lean which will not hurt anything, but when ur spraying the extra cylinder pressure will cause severe detonation and can break ringlands or do other severe damage to the piston or the head. The occurs because u have 2 parts air n/a and spray and 1 part fuel from fuel solenoid. anyway its not a good idea.

Did it last year, before the window switch was working right. Bent push-rods. I was very lucky. Put in a window switch that will shut the nitrous off 200rpm's before your rev limiter. Believe me it works.
