Default Launching w/ Converter

Hey guys,

As i read up on nitrous, i always wonder, they say not to use nitrous at 2500 or lower, however if you have a converter wont it flash to 2500-3000 defeat what is said? im sorry its tough to explain but i was just wondering considering ill be buying a kit next summer and i definately want to spray the whole pass.

you will still use a low RPM threshold on your window switch

My convertor flashes to 4500 or so on spray, window switch set to come on at 3000, and I launch the car from 1000 RPM.....the nitrous is on before the car moves

Makes sense to me, that way you will get the best 60ft possible. I have a question though i thought you wanted a tighter converter for nitrous applications?

oh okay i get it now. I have thought about restalling my converter right now i have a 3600 and it flashes to 3800 when i launch it on the motor. I am looking to spray between 150-200 when i get it tuned for nitrous. Do you think i should restall it down or leave it?

I'd say leave it where it's at for now...if it doesn't perform like you want it then see about a restall.

I mean i have a free restall so its not a big deal if i restall it. I haven't sprayed it yet with the new setup but i am gettting there. I guess i will just have to see what the car does on nitrous before i make any changes at all.

It's gonna be close man. I would probablt consider bringing it down to around 3k. I have a 4k ATI converter in my car, and the nitrous blows through it.....at least out of my power curve. It'll run 10.40's on spray, but I'm pretty sure a tighter converter will give me a couple tenths.
