Re: Nitrous Cams...???? Not a big one here, but running the TR224/ 114lsa and think it bleeds off way too much cylinder pressure. But its a compromise cam, splits emissions vs performance, and tunability!

? who out there knows if this cam will work with the spray and what the results will be? any pros and cons?

Re: Nitrous Cams...???? Currently i'm using a 224/224 .581 @112 Cam. But i bought a 228/234 .589/.598 @114LSA. Should be a heck of a good Nitrous cam just havent ordered the springs to go with it yet.
Re: Nitrous Cams...???? The TR 230 is not a great nitrous cam. But it will work just fine. There is a local guy here making almost 600 rwhp with that cam. Hes spraying around 225 shot.
Re: Nitrous Cams...???? I have the X1 cam from MTI 112 lobe. MY bottom-end is completely stock. You can see I got 135rwhp from a 100 shot. Jayson at MTI tuned her safely for the spray so I lost alittle N/A. You can see in my Sig the numbers I pulled. Not bad for A4 and all! I have dyno sheet if you would like to see. PM me!

I have mentioned this before but I know not where, I feel that one of the best all around cams for the stk displacement is the comp 222/230 114 it is an all around winner for motor as well as power adders it is tame and will make all the torque of a smaller cam and the higher end HP of a larger cam. I have tested over 100K cams on engine simulations and It is the least compramise. just did this cam on an all motor car and put a blower on it 2mos later and picked up much more than we were expecting partly due to this cam. Im probably stirring the pot.

Re: Nitrous Cams...???? Nitrous usually works better with cams with a larger exhaust duration. E.I. TR224/227(my future cam) maybe a 228/232, like the comp 222/230. All camshafts will peform good with it but a larger exhaust duration helps b/c the nitrous is forcing the extra air and fuel in but you need something to help take it out.

Re: Nitrous Cams...???? There was a great writeup in GMHTP by David Vizard on LS1's and camshafts. This guys IS a cam expert.
NX would definitly be a good source for a nitrous grind. According to the article they have the resources and the article also had a comparison of a street cam to that of a specific nitrous cam.
With the nitrous grind a minimal amount of NA power was lost over the previous cam BUT when combined with spray it made something like 30hp over it.
