Default custom or N20 cam

I am looking at going with a new cam on my next combo, and was wondering what would be my best bet for N20 cams out there. I will be spraying 200+ at some point or higher. I know most people don't go with a N20 cam as it doesn't really matter on the lsx untill 150+. I don't drive the car a lot, and would like to get as much out of the car as it sits till the 408 goes in.

Stock cubes, ls6 intake for now, and some worked over ls6 heads.

Any sponsors have any decent cams for N20 other than the magic stick 3, or should I just look for something custom?

Patrick G or predator Z feel free to chime in as well.

I suggest putting a good NA cam in there and just spraying it. For a average street car going with a all out nitrous cam is not worth the HP loss NA. This board has some great sponors that specialize in camshafts. I would hit them up..

I have been looking thru all the different cams and just haven't seen anyting that is jumping out and saying pick me at this point. Or at least don't see the point of swapping cams as mine makes pretty decent power for what it is.

with the miles you have id leave that car alone until the new motor went in and then do a custom cam.

ya I am really leaning toward that Tommy. do it once and do it right.

I could go faster than I am now with little to no money but wouldn't be able to get the new motor in untill the wife gets a new job.

I've been down this road. Got a good N/A camshaft and the car ran great, and did alright on the spray. Then switched to a nitrous camshaft from Vengeance and picked up A TON OF HP and TQ on the same 150 shot. Yeah I lost a bit N/A due to the camshaft bleeding off compression, but man its worth it on the spray!!!..

Call up Ron or Mike and see what they can do for you!!!!

what kind of specs did they give you. I am guessing a 8 degree split or something around that.

how much power did you pick up or track time differences?

ya I agree with ls2bait. I am just seeing what people are using as far as splits on n20 cams. I am just going to buy a cam for my new set up, and not worry about the motor I have in too much.

how many miles are on the car...??im on my 2nd cam on a 156k shortblock...

most n2o cams have big split and a wide lsa....mine has a 10 degree split and is on a 114...on xer xe lobes...car runs just as strong na as it did with the other cam...you wont lose as much power as most let on...
