Battery life depends on video setting and usage. For tuning and scanning your good for at LEAST 1.5 hours. They dont have serial numbers. That technology is a bit older. I have had several shops that use software (like Harley Davidson) that require serial. We have purchased a simple $5 serial-usb cable with no issues. If an extra battery is needed I am sure we can work something out. PM me if interested.

The battery life on mine was ****-poor, but i don't blame that at all on teddyca. It's a known fault with the smaller factory battery. I bought a couple of the oversized battery's and it's alot better now. I keep one for backup at the track.

Tim- I am glad to hear you are good to go. I try and run updates on the battery to make sure I get about an hour on them. there have been cases where I just ship out a replacement or just send 2. Since I only have a few laptops left and more batteries I have just been sending backups.

mine was also shot. From a full charge mine lasted 14 minutes browsing one internet site. I ordered a cheap bigger one off ebay and now I can browse at will.

The last few laptops I have I been sending with a second battery. I do realize these are having issues. I hope the second battery helps the users. Getting a new extended life battery is not a bad idea either.

I bought a new extended battery off ebay for about $30 after i purchased mine from teddy. Wow battery life went to 4+ hours and have used it about a year and its diminished down to about 3 hours. Great investment.

Battery life has been the only issue I have heard so I started including 2. Typically when I purchase these, I look for laptops that were sitting on shelfs or in storage not being used. I pass on the units with cracks, wear, etc... If it looks new I was buying it. I have a few left and then its time to retire. LOL At this point I will entertain trades for stuff as well. PS3, car audio, tools, etc... Who knows.
