Default Subwoofers, Amplifiers, Capacitor, and Custom Enclosure For Sale!

Up for sale: I'll do free shipping on everything except the enclosure. That's just too big.

Crossfire VR1000D Mono Amplifier ($350)

Crossfire VR404 400 Watt 4 Channel Amplifier ($250)

(2) Crossfire BMF1228 12" DVC (2 or 8 ohm) subwoofers ($250/pair)

Stinger 1 Farad LED Capacitor ($50)

And, if you've got a hardtop fourth gen Camaro, a custom subwoofer enclosure and amplifier to hold the whole damn thing! ($200)

I've had this all in my car for many years, and it's served me very well. I'm just past the loud stereo stage in my life. I'm also planning on doing a T Top conversion in the car, and I'll need the rear well for top storage. It's been played loud, but never abused. This setup, with the enclosure, has pushed 143.5 dB without breaking a sweat. I may remove the Crossfire SQ6.0 components and put those up for sale as well, but I haven't decided whether I want to or not. All together, with the components, amps, and subs, it was a great-sounding setup that was loud and clear.

VR1000D Amplifier:

Key Features
Amplifier Type Mono Channel
Bridgable: No

12 volt ratings:
RMS power at 4 Ohms 250 W x 1
RMS power at 2 Ohms 500 W x 1
RMS power at 1 ohm 1000 W x 1

Actual power at 14.4 volts is around 1300-1500 RMS! (Crossfire amplifiers are rated at 12V and have variable power supplies, so at 13.2 or 14.4 V, the amplifier's power output increases.)

Performance
Signal to Noise Ratio 90 dB

Crossover / Equalizer
Bass Boost: Yes, but I'll have to dig it out of the car

Other Features
MOSFET Circuitry Yes
3 Way Ready No

Dimensions
Width 9.3 in.
Depth 14 in.
Height 2.1 in.

VR404

Product Features:
Number Of Channels: 4;
RMS Power at 2 Ohms: 400 W x 4;
RMS Power at 4 Ohms: 200 W x 4;
Bridgable: Yes
Signal to Noise Ratio: 95 dB;
THD at Rated RMS Power: 0.02 %;
Bass Boost: No
MOSFET Circuitry: Yes;
Width: 9.3 in.; Depth: 14 in.; Height: 2.1 in.

The VR1000D is perfectly matched for pushing a pair of the BMF1228 subwoofers, and it and the VR404 have the same dimensions for a symmetrical installation.

Stinger 1 Farad LED Capacitor

LED voltage readout

Proprietary chrome aluminum cast frame
Flexible Impedance Technology (FIT)
Dual Voice Coil (DVC) impedance selector
Chromed signature etched back plate
Chrome plated extended/vented back plate
Compression nickel-plated sprig loaded input terminals
Designed for both vented and sealed enclosures
2-1/2" 4 Layer Dual 4 Ohm Kapton voice coil
Dual 85 oz. ceramic stacked magnet structure
Frequency response: 20-250 Hz
Sensitivity: 84.6 dB
Xmax: 14mm
Mounting depth: 6-3/8"
Cutout dimensions: 11-1/8"

Here's the custom enclosure and amp rack. I built all of this myself from 3/4" MDF. Each subwoofer chamber is sealed separately. It's about one cubic foot per side. I'm not sure exactly how big. If it's super important to you, I suppose I could measure it. The amp rack is in two pieces, a top trim panel and a bottom frame/stand, and it's separate from the subwoofer enclosure to make it easier to install/remove as needed.

With amps, cap, and subs in place:

With subs removed. As you can see, it's very well-made. All the joints are caulked for an airtight seal. It has terminal cups in the front of the box for easy connection. No bullshit in my builds.

Assuming the box can be used for a car that just doesn't want to have T-Top storage or can remove the plastic T-top holders, right?

Looks good. If I had the cash...

I think there are some bolts that come out of the well, and nuts are used to affix the t top holders to those, but I'm not sure. I've never removed the t-top holders in my Z-28. Anyway, those bolts may interfere with the box. The car that this box was/is in (the 93 in the sig) never had t-tops, so I didn't build it with that in mind.

Edit: Yes, there are bolts that come out from the sides of the well.

I don't recall just how close the sides of the enclosure are to the sides of the well, but it's probably pretty close. (I built the thing a while ago.) Probably best to assume that it won't fit unless you hack the bolts off.
