Default FS: 4 bedroom / 2.5 bath (my house)

I hope this is acceptable to post for sale.. as i didn't see anything in the rule book that said otherwise (since it is my house). anyway, i thought i would post it up for any of you fellow gear heads that's looking for buying a nice house at a fair price or buying your first home. This was my first house and we have been here for 7 years (had it built new in 1998). It's 1900 sq ft, 4 bedrooms (all upstairs), 2.5 baths (garden tub in the master), 2 car garage and I have done lots of work to it which includes: Hardwood floors in the living room, ceramic tile in the pantry/utility, kitchen and dining area, lot's of shelves in the garage, new roof (being put on in March, because of the hail storm last year) and lot's of custom paint etc etc. Also have a good size backyard.. if you wanted to do a pool or a big deck there is plenty of room.

The house is located in South Grand Prairie (I20/360 area) and is very convenient to both Dallas and Fort Worth (and 10min from the DFW airport).

I can post up pics/pm them to whomever may be interested, when I get them, probably tomorrow...

Price $125,000.00

If your interested in more info please email me at devinheywood@comcast.net

Thanks for looking...

How much are the taxes a year? What kind of development is there in that area? I want to buy a summer home and am looking for Texas or Florida homes... Do you have any pics that you can email me? minty99z@yahoo.com
Let me know, also how negotiable are you on the price?
please email me

Taxes ran $3680 last year, there is no more housing development in the immediate area. I wasn't sure what kind of development you meant.. but there is an approval to build the new Dallas Cowboys home stadium about 10 minutes away in Arlington. Joe Pool lake is also about 4 miles away.

I'm already pricing it to sell pretty quick (we are building a new one that will be ready in June) but i'm a little flexible.

If your looking for a lake front or a spread of land then this isnt' for you as it is in a normal sub-division area (Kirby Creek). But it is in a great location and a real nice house for the money.

I will respond to your email with more details and pics. Thanks for the interest.

Devin.

Can't buy it, but man that is a beautiful house. I can't believe the price is so low. Like LS1Adam says, something like that here in Hawaii would start close to 500,000. Unbelievable.

Thanks guys.. I could have gotten more I think than what i listed at.. but i priced it for a quick sell. And i hear ya about the real estate prices varying from state to state, i told the wife the same thing.. for this house in Boston would run about 300k.

You guys ought to see what 180k will get ya.. I'll post up pics after the build is complete.

dont get so excited about texas guys. here in corpus christi(south texas), a house like that will run in the 200s easy. i am looking to buy a house, and cant seem to find anything decent under 150k. i have consider a move to houston or dallas, where 150k will buy me practically a "mansion". so as you can see, not all of texas is cheap. especially in austin...

I don't think you're quite comprehending what some of us are saying.

That house above is EASILY a 450K+ house up here in Maryland. If they built those houses up here for 200K or even 300K they wouldn't be able to build them fast enough.

$125K up here gets you some 1940's built shack in original condition sitting on .05 acres.

You TX guys are spoiled.

Hey Clint.. having it built in Keller (Wall Price / Roy White area). It's going to be nice.. finally get that Gameroom with a pool table and a custom media room with elevated platform and digital 3 gun projector

Garage isn't much bigger (they didn't offer the 3 car upgrade.. but oh well, can't have everything.
