No offense, but hopefully your uncle didn't take you too bad on those speakers.

Those are "white van" Chinese made speakers. Google "Elite Audio" "white van". Theater Research and Elite Audio are made by the same Chinese company.

Like these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=120030507996

They can stick any random "MSRP" on there.

You simply cannot compare that speaker with a true $2000/pair speaker - like these:

http://www.av123.com/products_produc...s&product=50.1

Look at the weight on the Rocket 850 speaker - 100 lbs each. Look at the drivers. The finish. That's a $1000/ea speaker.

Again, no offense, but that's what you've got there.

Well, I guess that ends that!

Yeah man, sorry I "went off" like that. I have a compulsive habit. Maybe I need to seek treatment or somethin'.

Anyhow, while they may not be worth 2 grand, they are certainly going to have some value, couple/few hundred bucks, especially if they sound decent. Heck, if the right deal came along, I'd put a pair in my garage to replace the old school Technics tower speakers right now.

Good luck man.

not to invade your post, but i used to work at a retail plaza/strip mall and the "white van guys" would come by once a week and hassle people in the parking lot selling speakers. It was kinda funny to watch.
