This is a 30 spline 3800 stall lockup converter for a 700r4. Installed once for 10 miles last year then "customer" switched his mind and wanted a powerglide. Holes have been drilled out for straight through bolts. Monster sells these new is $500, I would like $260 shipped.

Yes, to answer your question, it will fit. I would not use it in that application though. 4L60E's are electronic and probably will not read everything correctly. I don't know this for certain though so don't quote me on it. It's just what I've been told.

From research and my converter man, the late 700r4 (which is what I'm selling) and the 4L60(e) have 30 spline shafts. They will slide right on the trans shaft, but the problem comes with the disc inside. The 4L60(e) has a carbon fiber disc while the 700r4 has a paper one. Using the 700r4 is possible, but the pulse width modulation that the 4L60(e) uses will bust the TCC component in no time flat because of this difference. It has to use the carbon fiber one. You can use a 4L60(e) converter in a 700r4 though and be fine. To answer your question, yes, it will bolt in and work, but you will have big problems with the PWM in your 4L60(e). I guess this is not a viable option for you then.
