Default Complete LS1 Swap for 1996 1997 LT1 Cars

I have a very nice used 2001 LS1 Trans Am WS6 engine and transmission. This is a 65k mile drivetrain. The story behind the whole car is that a local customer wanted to put an LS1 in his 1997 Trans Am WS6. We did the complete swap on his 1997 TA with this 2001 drivetrain. We put a Patriot Racing 225/229 cam, with PAC 1218 valve springs. We installed new valve seals as well with the cam install. Once we finished the install and had the car tuned, the very next day a lady ran a red light and clipped the front on his car. So from there the car is as it sits totalled.

Before the car was totalled it was dyno tuned at In-Tune Motorsports of Charleston, TN. The car put down pretty decent numbers for being cam only. Everything in the pictures is included minus the long tube headers. You will notice the power steering pump pulley is damaged, that will be replaced as will the reservoir.

The engine is still in the car and will remain as so, until it is purchased. Anyone is more than welcome to come take a look at it if you are interested. Please give us a call 423-614-8986, Monday - Friday 9:30pm - 5:30pm.

The harness is for 1996 1997 cars, but could easily be made to plug and play into the other 1993-1995 cars.

The price is $5500
