Since my Nova project is still taking longer than expected and I had an inquiry already about the engine, I figured I'll put my new bullet up for sale and see what happens..
Here's the 411:
-’77 model #3970010 block with 4-bolt mains, honed and bored .030 over
-Hard Blok filled to bottom of freeze plugs (a.k.a. short fill)
-Billet steel center caps
-Eagle Competition Rotating Assembly (rated to 900 hp), internal balance
-Forged 4340 crankshaft
-H-Beam rods with ARP hardware
-Forged SRP lightweight flat-top pistons, 2-valve relief
-10.75:1 compression with my 65 cc heads (run it on 93 octane)!
-Crane solid roller camshaft (custom grind, specs to serious buyers)
-Crane springs and Pro Series roller lifters
-Manley 1-piece 4130 chromemoly pushrods
-Joemar stud girdle
-Canfield aluminum cylinder heads (recent media blasted and cleaned).
-195 cc/65 cc, CNC’d, ported combustion chambers and bowl blended
-Ferrera 6000 series competition stainless 1-piece valves (2.055/1.60) with serdi valve seats (7-angle valve job)
-ARP studs and guideplates
-Positive locking valve seals
-Victor Jr. intake ported to match Fel-Pro #1205 gasket
-Milodon oil pan (7 quart pan with kick-outs).
-Moroso windage tray, oil pump and pick-up.
-ARP hardware used throughout build.
Fresh and ready to run with only 30 minutes of break-in time on an engine stand. Can hear run if interested.
Should be good for 550-575 flywheel horsepower without accessories. Exact build-up the shop did on a previous 383 combo that put down 427 rwhp in a ’72 Nova with a Powerglide trans, 10” 4500 stall converter and 1-3/4” Hedman headers with 3” exhaust with Delta-40 Flowmasters and turndowns at the axle. 10.70’s at 123 mph with a 1.48 60 foot time at 3300 lbs in good air.
$10,000 invested, not including the water pump, headers, carb and MSD ignition.

Complete long-block (I will not sell as a short block) minus water pump, headers, carb and ignition (comes with tall chrome valve covers, not the aluminum ones in the pictures) - $8500
Add a Holley 750 HP series carb and Hedman 1-3/4” coated headers fitting 67-69 Camaro/68-74 Nova - $9,100
Feel free to shoot me an e-mail or PM and I'll be happy to answer any questions.
Please don't tell me this is "too much $$$ for the combo" as I have receipts for everything, and this isn't some "claimed 600 hp" motor than will only muster 12's in a street car. This is a low 11 second to high 10 second motor built by a reputable shop in business for over 25 years that you can drive around on pump gas and even add 200-300 shot of spray safely with the hardware in place.
