Unfortunately, ATI said "no" to using it as is due to basically a whole vein being missing, and quoted more than a grand to repair it. "Parts costs are way up" so they claim, and they will NOT sell you just a new impeller, which is worth $200 at most. ATI's repair costs are obscene. B@stards.

Back up to the top for anyone else interested in this. I was looking at more than 2 grand by the time I got a new carb hat, belts, pulleys, and everything else for my application. Oh well, it was a nice thought for a day. Sorry for the false hopes. Definitely worth it for someone who uses their SBC call all the time though.

note that you do not need a new carb hat or pulleys, he just wanted to reduce the boost

brad -- Absolutely. Good catch. I was looking at another $150 for the carb hat and at least $400 in pulley and misc parts to detune the D-1 to a "street setup". This deal is still screaming good. I just don't use the car enough to justify putting that into it right now.

ATI's rebuild would give you basically a new unit for about $1500, PLUS all the mounts and pulleys, which alone are worth what brad is asking for the whole thing. This is going to be an awesome setup for someone looking for one mean SBC.
