Master power turbo, t70 with .96a/r. This turbo was purchased brand new from vsracing back in sep 07 by the first owner, (2000 to 3000 miles he used it for)I am the second owner (used it about 500 miles).
I had some oiling issurs, and called it quits on my project....only to find out that $3 check valve could have saved it all!
Anyways,
The oilings issues was that I had the turbo mounted lower than the engine, and when the engine was turned off, the oil would drip into the turbo, deadhead, and then leak accross the seals.
I've taken the turbo off, and there is no end/side play what so ever on the turbo, and had no issues with the turbo, except the oil, which was my fault.
After I took the turbo off, I left the oil line hanging, and it steady dripped ALOT of oil on the floor (at least 1/2 qt.) , I should have put a check vavle in the oil feed line, my mistake. Anyways......too many projects leads me to sell this.
I don't think the seals are shot, just that it couldn't hold back the deadheaded oil. On trips to work, as long as the pump was running, the smoke almost went away after a mile or two.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call, I'll look at whatever the buyer wants me to check out.
