Don't know about local but when I had my two second gens I dealt with Classic Industries quite a bit. I was pretty happy with them.

For the regular auto parts store parts for my 68 pickup, I've gotten quite a bit of stuff from RockAuto.com. Most of there stuff is cheaper than AutoZone, Napa, or Schucks and usually arives in a few days.

If you're looking for resto parts, YearOne Industries is probably your best source for hard to find parts, although they are not local. Pick up a catalog and break out your credit card LOL. Should be a fun project Chris. I always liked the earlier 2nd gens myself (70-73), but I like those years too. What color is the car and what are the plans,,,, LSx engine? Post up some pics when you can.

It supposedly has a 4 bolt main in it so I dont know about the engine. It runs real strong has and Edelbrock performer carb on it, headers and dual exhaust.

My plan is to restore it slowly. It's in good shape, has 2 small rust holes to take care of but other than that it looked real solid. Original color looked to be dark blue, but it's all in black primer now. Driver side fender has bondo on it thats cracked so I figured I'd replace it. Other than that the body is all there. Lower front of quarters needs replaced so I'll need some patch panels.

Hood needs to be aligned and the driver door as well. The interior is basicly trash so thats where most of the money will go.

I wanted an earlier gen 2 as well but they aren't in my price range for a decent driver.

I'll go stock with it, maybe green instead of blue on the paint (wifes favorite color) She used to have one back in the day...LOL. So she really didn't mind me picking it up. Its an automatic as well which I kind of like. I have the 6 speed already in the 99 so I like the auto in this one. My goal is to have one of each generation to be honest.

Fear the mullet!!

This is what it should look like when done. I'll post pics of it today after I pick it up.
