Default Got a 75 280Z project car

Just had a 75 280z project car handed to me. Body is real straight and it has a good engine with it waiting to be installed. Has a 5 speed as well, both the original 4 speed and engine are with it too. My neighbor had to get rid of it, they have to be out of their house at the end of the month.

SO I aquired it Anyone interested?

I've got 2 on jack stands already and adding a third But this looks oike an easy one to get running, has the engine just needs the time and I've got time...LOL

I wonder how an ls1 would fit in there?

LS1's fit good in those early Z cars from what I've seen in Conversions section. I've owned 3 of them over the years, 71, 72, and a 73. Neat little sports cars, but I prefer the looks of the thin bumper 240Z's over the fat bumper cars.

I absolutely love Z cars. A buddy used to have a 77 280 that I stole a lot. I agree with the wanting smaller bumpers of the earlier ones but they're still fun.

I'm jealous. Need pictures.

That is a project car. You have your hands full for sure. Check the backside of the front wheel wells for rust. They were common to rust out between there and the floor boards. Another common spot for rust is directly in front of the rear wheel wells and rear strut towers.

A 1974 would be a 260Z and they're still the skinny bumper style. They only made the 260Z's for one year.

Learned something new today. I didn't know that. A v-8 of any kind would be a blast in that car.

One is blown , not sure whats wrong with it (the whole reason the car is sitting in the first place), the other was supposedly a runner. I need to keep the good one for the car and the other is for sale with a 4 speed.
