Default It"s Alive!!!!!!!!!!

Well I've been thrashing on the car for the last week or so trying to get it ready to fire up for the first time with the LS1 engine. Earlier today I thought I was gonna have to wait until Monday when the coil packs show up. Then I said **** it, and bought another truck coil to replace the broken one, and here she is, alive and well. Started up on the first attempt. She's got some idle issues to work out when it's cold, but seems to smooth out when it up to temp. Cody took a vid of the car starting and idling that I'll be posting here later tonight or tomorrow.

Ya,,, I'm STOKED!!!!

They are currently the truck coils/brackets, so in order to use my existing spark plug wires, I had to relocate the brackets coils so they're hanging off the valvecovers a tad. This is just temporary until I get the Fbody coils/brackets on Monday.

LOL,,, ya that's been qutie awhile back. I'm happy to be back in the "running" category again. I'm sure you know how that goes....

Oh c'mon now, it's not THAT small. Just cuz it doesn't sound like your solid lifter dragster..... The nice thing about the LS engines, you don't need huge cams to make good power.

Thank you sir. Hopefully it won't be another 6 months before you make it back over to the Couve..... You'll either have a whipple or a different car by then LOL.... When's the Terminator going on Tommy's dyno? Maybe we can both go the same day? I need to get that software from ya so I can change some idle stuff. It started/idled cold this morning alot better than last night, so it might not need too much tweaking. The idle didn't hunt around nearly as much.

You have no idea how nervous I was hitting that ignition switch the first time. All these parts for this engine conversion prolly came 35 different cars,,, litteraly!!

I'm hoping for some dry roads soon. I need to get it into an alignment shop. Since putting in the BMR Kmember, the whole front end is all out of whack. We'll def. be doing some cruisin and racing next season. I now need a new rearend to go with the newfound heart transplant.

Maybe I'll have mine up and running too for next year.

Oh hell, maybe I should transplant that dragster engine into the camaro
Boy Angii would be pissed with me. I think I value my life more than that, so that won't happen.

Took her for a spin around the neighborhood today. The car def needs some tuning/tweaking, but the first time I romped on it, the rearend let me know it didn't like it. Made a big ol' clunk and whine LOL.... I guess maybe this will be an excuse for a 9" this winter.

That Ypipe hangs down to the ground too, so that'll have to go away.

Mike
