Nice looking car. Can't say I care for the L / H oil pressure gauge but.....on the upside I bet even Lanes car would beat it.

I don't know man. Thats a tough one. Because usually you need traction to go forward, and when there is none, well you get the idea..

Powertrain upgrades are due for m/y 2011. 400 hp v8 etc..... There is a lot of 5th gen Camaro in the revised 2010 Mustang. Do you think Ford is a little worried at the impact the 5th gen will have in 3.5 months?

The new stang still has the droopy puppy dog eyes though and like someone else mentioned it's 2010, twelve years since the debut of the LS powered F-bodies and they are still playing catchup. There are exceptions (Terms and Shelby's), but still I would expect more from Ford. Then again just look at their sales figures and I guess they are doing a lot of things better in the pony car market. Hard to argue with that.

Mustangs are today what they were first billed as when going on sale in 66. They're chick cars. Originally they were marketed to single white females (Secretary cars) and today every teenage girl has to outdo her teenage girl friend with a Mustang of her own. Within 200 yards of my house there are 5 Mustangs in peoples driveways/ garages. Three are owned by girls, one is owned by a poser and the last is owned by a guy who doesn't have a clue abot performance cars but a Mustang has always been his dream car. Two of them or in my Cul de sac. Yuck!

Funny story....the neighbor with the dream car Mustang walked up to me in the garage one day to chat. He asks me if sold my 02 EB Z06 to get the 08 C6Z. I'm thinking hmmm maybe he's interested in something different and I can talk him into GM. After I say yeah he proceeds to walk past the Z and spends the next 10 minutes gushing (I specifically chose the word gushing) over my wifes GXP. It looks nice imo and it's quick for a 2.0 4 banger but it's still a chick car imo. I tried my best to turn his attention to the "man" car, 427 CU, 500+ HP, aluminum chassis, big ******* wheels and brakes but nope he really has a thing for my wifes car. He wouldn't even look at the SS, oh well to each his own.

First off Ford is a company, they are more interested in making money than having more power than the other guy and impressing car forum trolls. If having more power is what sold cars, the F-body would have never went away in the first place.
Second, the mustang in general isnt a chick car. Keep in mind all the tuners and aftermarket, if it were strictly a chick car that wouldnt be the case. Btw, chicks buy cars too, and Ford knows that.

As far as the styling, its okay i guess. I mean they have to keep updating to keep pace with the Challenger and when the Camaro comes out. Im just glad all 3 of the cars exist (or at least are going to be) considering the state of the big 3 right now.

Oh and musicman, am I to understand that if all other things were equal, price, performance etc. you would rather your car sound like a V6 than a V8? Because from what Ive read the pricing for the V6 Camaro is right there with the Mustang GT.

No bobby, He said there is exceptions the terminators and shelbys gt500. the shelby gt is a regular gt with suspension and intake with 320hp and a few extra badges. The one in the video deff. looks better than this one but they havent changed the 5spd or 4.6 sohc. And if you read at the bottom of the distription above the GT's allow for spirit driving

.

The point I brought up had nothing to do with car sales, it was stricly a fact, the reason for the F-body production stopage had little to do with actual car sales but more with not wanting to continue with the agreement it had with the canadian government on the building of the cars. Ford has lived on the hog so to speak lately due to there being no competition against the underpowered and inexpensive mustang. Now that Dodge and GM are back in the mix it will change the dynamics and I expect Mustang sales to take a hit, at least with the male population

if they decide to put a 5.4 in or supercharge that 4.6, I'll be purchasing one in grabber blue. these stangs will sell big, they look pretty classy, and a lot better than the 5th gen camaro IMO. Though maybe a used challenger will be down in price in a year or so...
