Default Stalled A4's

I'm stuck deciding on what size stall to run with my current set up and curious to know if anyone has a stalled A4 in the surrounding Portland/Wa area and would be willing to take me for a short ride when the weather clears up so I could get the feel for one?? I've been looking at the Yank SS3600 but not quite sure if I would like it being the car is more of a DD. I do plan on hitting up PIR this next year but only for a handful of passes.

Thanks, Elliott

The SS3600 is nice, if you drive it normally it drive like a stock stall, trust me it would be good as a DD..

I've heard it drives nice around town..Stealth has told me it's a great converter for DD. After watching his video though I started second guessing weather I would enjoy it or not.

I have that exact converter and my car is my DD. I definitely dont think you would be disappointed with it. When you keep your foot out of it drives pretty close to stock. I have been very happy with it.

That's what I'm hearing from most people that are running it. Appreciate the feedback

it is going to be a little 'Stally" on hills. Say 2,500 to 3,000 to climb. Not a bad choice. It will take some time to get used to,

Then again I dailied my PT3,800 for years and 20k miles

Yeah I hear they take a little getting use to. I would hate to spend the 700+ on one and end up hating it..

Someones gotta have a stalled A4 around here they can launch me in come on guys!

I went with a Yank 3,200 and was very pleased in my 02 Camaro. Something to think about. If you are not going to slick it down and take it to the track alot then I would go with the 3,200

Have given this one some consideration. Nice to hear someone has ran it and liked it.

I would rather go with the ss3600 than the 3200.. I daily drove my 3600 for a year and a half, with no problems. And it drove almost like stock around town.

I had a 3200 in mine and it wasn't enough IMO. It felt like stock under normal driving, but when at the track, it was just barely noticable above stock. I think you would be happy with the 3600.

I wish yours was up and running so we could fly up 164th in the snow

I'm gonna stop on by tomorrow if that's ok and drop off the rest of the parts...say 10:30 or so...

It wouldn't matter if it was running because I don't have the A4 in it anymore. I'm running a TH350 with a 4000 stall and ballooning plate. Yeah I'm home tomorrow

3200-3600 would be perfect for a daily driver!! though guys are daily driving 4k stall. i have a vigilante 3200 which is really like a 34-3500 stall. i wanted something that will feel close to stock as possible when driving.
