New Car....
I found an F-body at a low price Craigslist a few months ago I decided to jump on it. Well there were issues w/ the title transfer and I was beginning to think that it was never gonna happen. However the car is officially mine and sitting in my driveway as of a few hours ago. I ended up paying $4200 for it!!!!
It's a 2000 SS w/ 106k miles. Has a 6-speed tranny w/ what feels like an upgraded clutch. The interior is a little rough, it's missing a radio and the 2 center air vents. The center of the shift **** has a hole drilled in the middle that makes me thinkg maybe nitrous was on the car. Oh that and the nitrous lines running into the hatch haha. A big downside to the car is that the owner before the owner I bought it from pretty much stripped it almost beyond recognizable as an SS. He removed the hood, spoiler, and wheels. Only thing he left was the SS badges .
In fact, he even removed the engine!!! I brought a few friends to go look at the car with me and one of them noticed that there was rust on the block and 706 heads under the hood.
I've always wanted a 6-speed turbo'd Iron block f-body and I finally had the perfect platform!!! I'm almost positive that it's going to end up being a 5.3L block, but I'm still holding out hope that it could be a 6.0L
I will get pictures up this weekend, but here is a picture of the car in the previous owners driveway:

Clean title. Of course can't know if it had been in an accident and not reported. The owner who had it before the previous owner got it repo'd. I'm guessing he knew it was going to be taken anytime and decided to make a few bucks my selling all the worthwhile parts.
And I wish I would have seen something on here that might have been cheaper.....what did I miss?!?!?!?

A buddy of mine called SLP with the vin when I first went to look at it months ago. It's an SS and build # is 7-hundred something. You can tell they did a hack job of getting an Z28 hood and spoiler and giving it a quick maaco paint job to match. The underside of the hood was barely sprayed and you can see it was originally a red hood.

So, on the door sticker it has WU8 option code?
Not that it really matters, the only things that make the car an SS in 2000, were the things that are gone...Except the catback. In 2000, the SS option only added Wheels/Spoiler/hood/exhaust. Unless it has the Y2Y code then it may have some of the SLP options.
