drive in drive out Engine swap
Say i bought a crate LS3/L92 427 @$5500 what would a shop charge to swap it out?
...and how much could I get back by selling the stock 5.7 with 70k miles on it?
any reccomendations local to Seattle?
To answer you questions:
1. Price: an LS1 to LS1/LS6 swap is pretty straight forward and would probly be in the area of $1500-$2000. I'd say for that price you could get a tune for the new engine (change in displacement/injectors).
For a Ls1 to LS2/LS3/LS7 requires a few adapters and could raise the price abit.
2. Selling a long block 5.7l minus accessories/electronics/intake... maybe $1500
3. Local shops: The list of sponsors with facilities in the seattle area = Turbo Technology inc. in Tacoma. If you talk to TTi and they are not what you need, the next nearest sponsor is TJ Wong's Shop in Portland.
Have a nice day.

The REAL cost of doing this is putting all that new power to the ground & making it live. Go to the FI forum & read the sticky about the cost of going Forced Induction. Your fuel system & drivetrain including suspension will need to be revamped / replaced....if you plan to race it.
