I've had this Craftsman 3-ton floor jack for prolly 6+ years now, been a pos for the last 5. Leaks oil and won't go up all the way any more. I put the truck up on stands last night to do some fluid changes, and while I was at it, I decided I was gonna try and fill the jack up with some more fluid. That didn't work...tried and tried, it's done. Truck still on stands. So, what's a recommendation for a good floor jack. I know Ryan had one of those Costco, I think, 1 pump aluminum jobbies, that didn't pan out so well. Opinions? Thanks!

I have two. The first one I bought was 12 years ago from Checkers and is a 2 ton. It is still going strong. The other one I bought 9 years ago at Harbor Freight (3 ton) and I still use it without any trouble today. Both are good jacks.

did you take it back?
more importantly,
did you read the directions?![Embarassed](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_emb.gif)
I have a friend who got the older (Blue painted) steel jack from costco.
it wouldn't lift his car,
so he added oil
it still didn't have enough lift.
so he took it back
with his second one,
he decided to read the directions,
they have instructions for when you first get them,
because the oil needs to be worked in

I have one of the aluminum Costco ones and it was awesome for 2 years, but now it doesn't like to pump up all the way. I want to take it back but the only jack they have (at least in Bellingham) is a steel one that is blue.

EDIT: I just looked in the catalog and this jack now sells for 199.99 and goes to 4000lbs instead of 1 1/2 tons like mine.
