From everything I've read, you will only benefit from a speed density tune if you're engine requires more airflow than the MAF can measure accurately. In other words if your engine combo is only capable of putting down 450rwhp, then going to a speed density tune is not really necessary.

On another note though, speed density is supposed to increase the drivability of cars with very large cams. Problem is, you either need to learn to tune it yourself, or send the car to a well known tuner that is knowledgable about speed density. SD is alot more difficult to tune and requires alot of time and finesse to get it dialed-in well.

If you're interested in learning to tune yourself, check out EFILive or HPTuners. The possibilities are endless if you learn to tune yourself. I use EFILive to tune my car and I like the online support forum they have.

Its my understanding that "85mm" mafs actually have an ID of 90mm. Read a little on the page linked below for verification.

SD is easier to tune in my opinion. Save your money on the MAF and big a bigger throttle body and try SD for awhile. The throttle response is usually awesome. Mine is.

If you want a MAF they do make 100mm ones.

We did SD on mine, the mass caused more problems than it helped IMO and more flow with it gone.
