PIR is hosting an opening day event with the proceeds going to the Friends of PIR, a non-profit 501c3 established to preserve and enhance the track. The event will be as follows.
7:00 AM - 8:30 (Free - All Ages)
GUIDED NATURE WALK & BIRD WATCHING
Come join Environmental Consultant, Colin MacClaren, as he leads you on an environ¬mental and widelife watching tour of the park.
8:00 AM - 9:30 (Free - All Ages / Bicycle Helmets Required)
TRACK WALK
Come walk, ride, skate, your way around the track. Human powered is the name of the game during this time. Racers, neighbors, children, bicycles, dogs, are all wel¬come to take a stroll around the least-walked pavement in Portland.
10:00 AM - NOON ($10 Suggested Cash Donation - Drivers with Legal License)
TOURING LAPS - Presented by Pro Drive Racing School
Drive your own car around the track. Follow a pace car around PIR at highway speeds. No helmets or racing safety equipment needed. All you need is a car and a driver’s license. You may bring as many passengers as you have seat belts for, including kids. A suggested donation to FOPIR of $10 gets you 3 laps.
12:15 PM - 1:00 PM (Free - All Ages / Bicycle Helmets Required)
FAMILY & FRIENDS DESTINATION BIKE RIDE
Grab your friends and ride to PIR, where you will be rewarded with this special time to ride on the track at your own pace.
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM ($25 Suggested Cash Donation - Riders 18 and Older / Signed Li¬ability Waiver Required)
AT SPEED TRACK RIDES
Ever want to experience what it’s like to ride around the track at speed? Here’s your chance. A suggested $25 donation to FOPIR will get you two laps in a car driven by an experienced track instructor, at speed.
1:00 PM - 5:00 PM ($125 - Advanced HDPE Drivers, Instructors, Licensed Race Drivers Only / Space is Limited to 40 Cars / Pre-Registration Required @ motorsportsreg.com )
LAPPING SESSION - Presented by Oregon Porsche Club of America
Starting at 1:00 PM the track will be open for a lapping session organized by the Porsche Club. The format will be an open track lapping session without classes.
5:00 PM - 9:00 PM ($25 Entry Fee to PIR / Weather Permitting)
DRAG RACING
Race your own car down PIR’s quarter mile. Experience the fun and excitement of legal drag racing.

I don't think there insurance will cover you if fall down and get a boo boo..lol
