Default Made Some Runs,,,,, Kinda

Took the car out to PIR last night and got a few passes in. Kinda bitter sweet in that it wasn't running the mph that it should be, but at the same time it didn't break so I was happy to drive it home. Car needs some more work both chassis and other. But I didn't break anything this time and leaving off the 2-step is pretty damn cool. Car was falling on it's face in the upper rpm's in the top gears (3rd and 4th especially). Haven't replaced the fuel pump so I'm sure that's part, if not all, of the problem. I've got other debts to take care of so it'll probably be awhile before I can get around to replacing the pump. Traction was still non-existent. I'm just about ready to put some stock rear springs in the car and go run a decent pass. I think the rearend is still hitting something under the car being it's so low. I think it's dissrupting the launch and not letting the suspension work properly.... very frustrating. Also, the clutch line still has air in it somewhere as I was still having a hard time shifting into 2nd and 3rd. The two clean passes I did make I felt like a grandpa shifting the car just to get it in all the gears. Very notchy still.... The car is LOUD AS **** too. Looks like some better mufflers are in my future,,,, 104.3db on a single pass by myself!!

I walked away with an 11.33@123.5mph.... and a shitty 1.73 60' time.... Not stellar numbers by any means but I'm sure the fuel pump is responsible for alot of the low mph. The car should be trapping around 128-129 IMO... ? I'm not bitching, just dissapointed and frustrated after putting so much time/effort/work/money into it just to be running similar numbers I was before.....

Sorry to hear about the problems Mike, at least you were able to get a few shakedown runs in. I am sure with some time, tuning and practice with the new set up you will continue to make improvements.

Well at least she drove you home...if you need a set of stock rear springs, I have the ones off my 94 Z28 W/ 42K on them. They are yours free and would be more then happy to drop them by. I'm right by your house all the time when I take my daughter to lunch. Let me know.

Thanks guys. I know it'll all come together sooner or later. I think the part that irritates me the most is not having a job and trying to afford all this **** on a very limited budget. If I was working right now, none of this would be an issue because it would have been taken care of a long time ago lol... I just had to vent somewhere and you guys were the lucky candidates.

Man I hear you on a limited budget, esp when I was working on my Jeep during high school; it is a lot better now that I have a job and out of college but I am saving for a house now. You have one sweet super clean car, it will all come togeather with time, (and prob some more money.) What line of work are you in?
