Looks good. Question though, why the choice of heads? The 5.3's would have probably netted you better gains. Do you plan on stroking the motor at some point or something?

i went with these heads cause texas speed said it would be the best way to go, and they outflow the 5.3's, i have less compression this way but i will probly bump that up eventually

I have heard mixed feedback about running those heads VS the 5.3L
Wong said over the phone the 5.3L would respond better to stock cubes where the 6L heads work better with a bigger build. Either way you put down good #'s and all that matter is it's running strong.
BTW, I have talked with the guys over at TS and I have found on more then one conversation them just throwing out not so great of info or talk as if they just wanted a quick sale to get you off the phone because they were too busy.

well maybe the 5.3 heads would have been the way to go. i really wanted the prc 215's or afr 205's but those are too expensive. another reason i went with the LS6 is cause i bought this set up based on other people that run it, that came back with much stronger numbers than i did. like i said a long time ago, i figured 450 should be no problem but i was wrong. but im still happy with it, plus i have alot left the table.

Guys, I wouldn't get too caught up with a dyno number. A dyno is just a tool used to tune the car, that's it.... I've seen high hp dyno'd cars get their ***' handed to them at the track by a lower hp dyno'd car. I've also seen the same car dyno drasitically different numbers on different dyno's. The track will tell the real story about the car/engine/driver etc... ![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)

I can see the big 243's and the big cam with a 6spd Joe! as they tend get more rpms at the strip.. I did the heads and cam I did based on my stock cubes, and when I needed to let the auto tranny shift at.. the trans guy I used said
4L60's.. even very well put together ones dont like much over 6200 rpms and thats when I have my car shifting at.. and i still have stock rods too. don't look back ur car will fly.. Just gota beat ur Dad LOL!
