Video Editing Software

What are you guys using to edit your videos? I'm looking for an inexpensive (free would be great) software to edit some video. Specifically looking for some that can do slow motion. I've used a trial version of Cyberlink Powerdirector and it was easy to use and had a lot of features, but I'd prefer something a little more basic and cheaper to purchase.

Also, wtf is up with WMV and it's damn Codec issues? Seems like everytime I update to a newer version of WMV it gives me grief with the Codecs lol.... ??? To make it even better, microsoft pages are FILLED with possilbe issues to fix it. A guy could grow old finding the ACTUAL problem with it.

I don't know how much it's is but my dad uses studio 12 and it seems to work pretty good. Not sure on the features but worth checking out.

OK thanks. Do you know if that software came with the camera or did he purchase it seperately?

Mike - I think I have something called Arc Soft. I'll have to check when I get home, but I'm 90% sure I still have the disks. It came with one of my camera's (don't remember which one or when).
