Default SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT !!! or at least hear it.

So Ellis has had my car for oh about over a year now and It is getting close to coming home.

Work being done:

New LS6 shortblock bored 8 over with some new Molly pistons. New custom heads that started out with 230cc intake runners before I ported and pollished the **** out of them to a mirror shine sporting 2.02 int and 1.6 ex stainless valves and some minor custom work to the heads to fit the oversized dual valve springs, a new slightly used comp cam I believe it is 224 226 .601 .601. new comp roller rockers 1.72 ratio giving me a total of .611 lift. still turbo'd!!!! (unfortunately still a gt60-1, I will sometime in the future upgrade to a 67mm or 70mm.), upgrading to 60lb motron injectors. a pollished alluminum LSX Typhoon intake that effing rocks, a new 85mm throttle body with a little extra port n pollish all around, procomp fuel rails, and some new UMI double adjustable LCAs with new rubber out back (pirelli PZero 315 30 18) a new drivers side window regulator :-), a tick shift burley *** master cylinder and new throwout assy, newly rebuilt tranny with groo love inside, new projector and LED headlights, a new fiberglass hood with luvers(not tellin so dont ask I want to be the only one), a new stainless chrome radiator support (replacing the plastic one), and a new SD tune by MR SPEED SECRETS himself. CANT EFFING WAIT !!!! however Im worried about the sound this thing will emitt. soon as I can afford its going to Stans headers for mandrel bent exaust and addition of a muffler of some sort since it has no muffler or cats to quiet it down just the turbo. I think when I finally get it back I will practically live in it. All in all not to shabby for a daily driver eh????

not to throw him under the bus but you will have to ask Ellis that one. all parts are in and ready, all costs are covered just waiting for it to get worked on.

no its had the turbo for years now. its getting a violantly upgraded engine and tranny and clutch hydrolics. among other appearance mods and a door window and tune. should come out with an additional 100 hp all said and done. but none the same I am so anxious I could kill another human being, maybe even several, if I wasnt so reserved. but yea.**** happens and nothing ever goes as planned especially with modified cars.I appreciate the empathy though. nice to know someone feels my pain. altogether I have somewhere over $50,000.00 invested in my '01 Z28 but thats only cause this is my 4th engine in 6 years.

Heres the heads I pollished the **** out of by hand. with all the material that came out it might have added a little to the CC's but the intake runners on these started out at 230cc. 68cc cyl, and the exaust ports were 80cc I believe. I cleaned up portmatched and pollished everything like a ****. gonna be redonkulous. and the link bellow is a pic of the intake setup I put together and portmatched and pollished like crazy.

Yes rear mount. It started out an STS kit but the only thing left that hasnt been modified is the turbo itself and a couple pipes. all wiring, oil pump, many of the pipes, and some other aspects of the kit were upgraded and customized in order to work at higher PSI as the kit comes for a 7PSI setup but I am running 12 to 14 PSI. eventually the turbo will also be going. either a 67 or a 70mm in its place and a smaller ar. currently using a .96 most likely will go with a .81 for more boost in the low end and less lag. but who knows with my new heads n cam the .96 might be fine we shall see. with the stock motor and only 5 to 7 PSI it didnt require an intercooler and I saw full boost at about 2200 rpm but with adding the intercooler and more piping and 12 to 14 PSI I dont see full boost till about 4500 then it spikes up like a 200shot of nitrous. so basically if I was in 4th adn rolled on the gas at 100mph it would start smoking the tires and make make the car drive diagonal at over 120mph not to mention trying to go through the gears was a joke holding on with both hands trying to keep it straight while feathering the throttle and then you have to shift yeah it was like riding a bull.

We are getting there Little things keep popping up in the way. The latest is the intake they sold guy is shorter the the CNC job they did on the Intake ports!

Poor Guy has learned that some times a deal really isn't a deal on some of the parts they sold him. It really sucks!

The car is going to be flat nasty. Thios all started as a repair but when we tore the engine down three pistons and the crank were shot along with both heads.. The last nine monthes has been spent slowly gathering parts and funds to get it all done. we are getting close now just got to get all the planets alighned LOL!
